On Love And Hate
Why is unconditional love so hard to find in this day and age? Well, to start with we must know what it is and whats holding it back. So what is love, truly? Well I know what it requires.
To have unconditional love you need, devotion, loyalty, sacrifice, selflessness. In short, love is hard word. Its a choice to stay by someones side through thick and thin, even when they drive you mad. To willing lay down your life for the ones you love. (Mind you this will only work both ways in any relationship. Its not love if its only one way.)
Unfortunately people don't understand this. Theirs this silly notion of finding the one. But loves not like that. Unconditional love is finding someone that you just couldn't live without. Even with their flaws. Just remember this, if you don't stand by anyone, no one will stand by you.
But whats preventing all this. The modern proverb. People are tools to use and abuse until their no longer of use. In short its hate and hates thriving. But why? Well I think one of the biggest problems is that its given too much credit. For whatever reason theirs this perception that hates really complicated even though its not.
I think it has to do with these derogatory words such as racist, sexist, etc.ist. These are just words of categorization. Who hates who for what, if you get my meaning. Which distracts people from what hate actually is.
Hate is the act of thinking you're better than everybody else and treating others as if there beneath you. And because of this, hate is easy. It requires no effort or thought. Just a constant reassurance of I'm better than you. No wonder its thriving.
What we need to do as as society, as a people. Is to abandon hate to the best of our ability. With all that hate thrives on. Resentment, condensation, entitlement, spite. We must learn to love, to forgive,to accept others as they are. Especially when you don't like or agree with them. Love is what life is for. Without it, we're as good as dead.
