Red
energy plasma protrudes like two pointed horns connected by a
metallic round coned cylinder. Blurred window panes cover the front
of the cockpit. The spaceship lands on a large round silver
quadrangle hobbling in the air, etched in the ground glowing color’s
reveal where to land.
Part
of the ship pushes in before rising into a door. A crew of four exit
shinning like fresh printed pennies their long lanky robot bodies are
stretched into strange perturbed faces. The platform they stand on
shifts as lights slither into the shape of a sidewalk.
Timidly
the crew begin stepping forward but the one whose face seems to frown
crouches down saying.
“I
can’t do it.”
The
others stare, unmoving.
The
one who seems to grit its teeth jeers. “Than by all means go back,
obey your master!”
The
one who seems to frowns raises itself up reluctantly following the
path.
A
silver plated mouth flies towards them. "Greetings, I am your
hostess pi
our tour will begin shortly but before we begin you must
first follow the safety guidelines, under no circumstances
are you to step on the inverted escalator without wearing
your magnetic boots which can be found to your left.
Remember although we are allowed to be within thirty feet
of the estate it is still a private residence, are there
any questions?"
"Yea,"
Said the one who seems to sneer. "How do we get in?"
"...You
cant." The hostess replies.
"I
see."
Raise
fists plow into the hostess mouth. Crumbling
to pieces flung wires and robotic chips snap to the ground. Hidden
sirens rise as faint blares amplify in the air.
“The
Escalator! The one whose face seems to smirk points as it slowly
detaches from the platform. One step closing on top of another,
dashing forwards the one who grits its teeth grapples the steps,
bearing it nearer.
“Hurry,”
It groans. Hastily boots are snatched being worn, they leap upon the
stairway. The one gripping it nears the platform.
“I’m
going to let go, meet you back on the ship.” Hands slip, the
escalator closes in. Steps drop rise flip even seem to dip in
weightless loops. Approaching, hovering clones shape like seashells
with elliptic etches open pitiless slits bearing laser cannons.
“Get
down!” The one who seems to sneer cowers as heat blasts slightly
scorch their casings. Convulsive dashes evade imminent shots.
“Remind
me again why we didn’t bring firearms?” The one who seems to
frown huffs in wavering jolts.
“We’re
almost there.” The one who seems to smirk guides the others.
Missiles spew as the escalator folds inward, they narrowly lunge upon
another platform. The one who seems to sneer bolts up saying.
“Quick
to the ledge!” There rapid motions barely gaze at the object
hanging mid air some feet away. An immense twenty sided silvery dice
slowly rolls constantly via engines blazing out at each number. At
ledges end mass amounts of automated floating plaques slowly hunch
towards their approaching guests.
Nearly
knitted together they almost disguise any sight of the dice as they
bobble swiftly towards them spewing pounds of info. Did you know…the
only one in this sector of the galaxy...the engines are manipulated
by... it contains the rarest minerals...
The
one who seems to frown leers up at them. “Shut up!”
“Under
article…” A plaque began, but the one who seems to sneer's arm
disjoints through the air by a clones fire.
The
one who seems to frown clutches the others plunging them in. Their
casings ram into the plaques till their raise fists block anything in
their path. The plaques scatter as they reach the ledge, the clones
nearly surround them.
“We'll
have to jump.” The one who seems to sneer slurs as the one who
seems to frown stares.
“Jump!?”
Pulses
in their systems surge above the platform. The one who seems to frown
manages to grip the
number three as the others grab hold of each other. The number begins
to burst hissing blazing heat
scorching
its slipping hands. A clone misfires hitting another engine electric
sparks burn as the dice rolls swirling in uneven shifts the one who
seems to frown loses its grip as they fall above the swirling dice.
A
rushing boom splinters part of the dices roof as all three crash
inside a round metal hallway, seeming to bounce their parts slip.
Slowly two of them trudge upwards as automated voices repeat.
"Engines
adjusted, intruders alert..."
The
one who seems to sneer says. "Lets move."
"What
about..." The one who seems to smirk points to the one who seems
to frown's crush body.
"Leave
it!"
The
one who seems to smirk looks back. "Wait," It digs through
the components. "Its memory circuits are still functional."
"Ugh...
then grab it and lets go!"
They
ran before blinking red brimming lasers slice through the hall.
"I
cant take much more of this.” The one who seems to smirk mutters. A
hissing blare echoes, glancing back a massive wave of firepower
rockets toward them.
“Run!”
The one who seems to sneer glides them through, missiles explode
within the hallway as vents suck out the blaze.
Crisp
tinted twists of melting metal litter the room. A piece that's still
whole slowly rises before plummeting, the machines climb up avoiding
the debris.
“We
made it,” Says the one who seems to smirk “even the circuits are
okay but statistically...”
“Shut
up.” The one who seems to sneer said “We need to stop these
defenses not blabber on about useless information!”
With
a wave of its one good arm they move on. It wasn't far when a patter
of feet approach.
“Where
do we hide?” says the one who seems to smirk.
The
one who seems to sneer replies. “We stay here, its time to face
them.”
The
footsteps stop. In the distance a whispers utter. “They're here.”
Appearing behind the wall a finger triggers the air as another hand
holds it steady. Before a young man charges forward ducking in the
middle of the hallway as though hidden from a large object.
“He's
insane!” The one who seems to smirk says.
The
one who seems to sneer shakes his head. “Look at his eyes.”
Blinded
by gold gleaming roundels seemingly imprinted as though a part of his
flesh the eyes scroll along the room before his finger fires at a
blank wall.
“What
kind of implant is that?” The one who seems to smirk says.
The
one who seems to sneer looks aghast “ How can you not know what
that is?”
“Well...”
“It's
a multi entertainment holographic implant or MEHI for short,” Glancing
down it notices motioning shadows “get him!”
The
one who seems to sneer wraps its arm round his neck. The man screams
childishly while wriggling his hands to aim before firing the air.
The shadows inch closer as the one who seems to smirk softly pats him
saying.
“Its
alright, do what we say and you wont die!!!”
“Now
get offline!!!” Says the one who seems to sneer.
“But
I'm almost at level 48!” The man said.
“I
said now!!!!”
The
roundels dissipate as his gray eyes stare at them. His features
furrow into a snapping shock.
“I'm
being held by a couple of copperheads!” The one who seems to sneer
starts throttling him.
“Sto...”
The one seems to smirk falls silent as the clones weapons aim at
them.
“Call
em off!” The one who seems to sneer says.
“Follow
protocol five hundred.” The man said. The clones lower their
weapons floating away.
“Where
are they going?” The one who seems to sneer says.
“To
their quarters.”
“Take
us there.”
They
step in pace with the clones.
“Its
nice to meet you doctor...” The one who seems to smirk says.
“I'm
not a doctor.” The man reply.
“What
do you mean!” The one who seems to sneer tightens its grip.
“Look
I'm just house sitting!”
The
one who seems to sneer lightly loosens its hold. “Where is he?”
“I
don't...” The man huff gasp breaths. “all I know is, this doctor
got suck into some top secret shit. They took em along with
everything in the lab.”
“What!”
The machines say in unison nearly bumping into the clones.
As
they process the information the one who seems to smirk says. “What
now?”
“Quiet,”
The one who seems to sneer lightly tightens its grip. “ I need to
think.”
The
clones pass through a door.
“Is
that it?” The one who seems to smirk says. The man nods.
The
one who seems to sneer drags him to a touch screen beside the door.
“Make sure their all accounted for.” It leans over watching his
every move, the man checks.
“Their
all there.”
“Lock
them in.”
After
a few minutes he says. “It's done.”
“Good.”
The one who seems to sneer says. “Take us to the lab.”
Bare
but orderly, the labs chairs are stack beside the tables pushed to
the back wall. The robots stare as the man wiggles his neck to get
more air.
“Why do this?
he just does body enhancements.” The one who seems to smirk says.
“I'd
ask you the same thing.” The man mutter.
The
one who seems to sneer rams him into a wall. “I will not leave
empty handed. Take us to the arsenal!!!” Pass more halls, a door,
and bullet resistant cases. They steal the arsenal.
“Thank
you.” The one who seems to smirk says as the one who seems to sneer
knocks him unconscious.
